Mehmet found that doing his certificate and then an LLB opened up a whole new career path for him.
'I didn't feel I was very good at studying and hated school, but I decided to try it and see what happened. I didn't know what I was capable of until now, and I'm really grateful to Birkbeck for that.'I am now very confident of getting the job I want thanks to my studies at Birkbeck. I've already started working part-time for a law firm thanks to what I learnt on the Legal Method course. Once I've finished my LLB, I may well come back and study something else because I enjoy it so much – why stop with one certificate! I would recommend studying at Birkbeck because of the enjoyment I've had on the course, and I wouldn't want anyone to miss out on this!'
