MSc International Business
A year after completing his BSc in civil engineering, Bosco enrolled on the MSc in International Business at Birkbeck, while working full-time as a civil engineer for a local government department and participating in its four-year training scheme.
'Working full time, I used my weekends to study. Admittedly, my social life has suffered, but my friends and family have been very supportive.'
The reason for choosing Birkbeck was simple: 'I had heard from friends about the good teachers at Birkbeck, and I already knew about the fantastic reputation of the University of London.'
Originally from Hong Kong, Bosco was interested to learn about business in other parts of the world: 'My fellow students were a very international group. It was fascinating to hear about business in other places, like Russia and Africa.'
Bosco plans to put this knowledge into practice as he hopes to use his qualification to work in other countries.
