Graduate wins prize
Congratulations to Ben Armstrong-Haworth who received the 2009 NESTA-Birkbeck dissertation award for his dissertation entitled 'The Increase of Electricity Generation from Renewable Energy Sources in the UK' at the graduation ceremony on 24 March 2009.
The award recognises outstanding Master's dissertations on the subject of innovation management and technology policy. Ben has achieved his BA and Master degrees at Birkbeck and has always proactively contributed to extra-curriculum activities in the College.
Ben has been accepted on to a PhD programme at Cass Business School, City University. The working title is: "The 'uncertain middle': the role of demonstration projects and trials in influencing success in sustainable innovation" and will look at the role of demonstration projects in the field of renewable energy. He will continue to tutor at Birkbeck.
