Earth and Planetary Sciences receive significant alumni donation

BSc Earth and Planetary Science alumnus Timothy Newling recently made a very generous donation of £10,000 to help fund fieldwork in the department.

This money will be available to both undergraduate and postgraduate students from the start of the 2011 academic year to help cover the cost of fieldwork trips and field classes.  These are designed to complement the lecture programme and practical classes, with several trips planned in each academic year.
