London International Development Centre
The London International Development Centre (LIDC) is an interdisciplinary initiative backed by Birkbeck. The growing collaborative project facilitates original research, training and events by bringing together social and natural scientists to tackle complex problems in international development.
LIDC membership is free and the benefits include:
- invitations to events
- access to its online resources
- updates about events
- media briefings about development.
LIDC already has more than 1,000 members and more than 60 are from Birkbeck. Birkbeck is one of the six Bloomsbury Colleges (all part of the University of London) which are taking part in the initiative established in 2007.
