Birkbeck library membership
Birkbeck library membership is available to Birkbeck graduates by annual subscription.

| Reference | This gives you access to all books and journals on the open shelves. You can also search for materials using the library catalogue. Photocopying facilities are also available by purchase of a photocopy card from the dispensers in the libraries. | £35.00 |
| Borrowing | In addition to the services outlined above, you are entitled to borrow five items at a time (excluding one-day-loan books). We regret you are unable to reserve items. | £70.00 |
| New alumni | New alumni who join the library in the summer after graduating (July-September) are entitled to a 10% discount on a Borrowing membership. | £63.00 |
| Day Pass | This gives you reference access. This can be purchased directly from the library. Please note you will need a form of photograph ID with you when you use the library. | £6.00 |
Apply
To apply you need to bring the appropriate identification and a passport photograph. Please bring these to the library membership desk on the ground floor of the main building.

Library card
You will be issued with a library card which you will need in order to gain access to the library. The card is valid for a full calendar year.
