Geraldine Sundstrom

Geraldine Sundstrom is a managing director and portfolio manager at investment management firm PIMCO, which she joined in 2015. She had previously been a partner and portfolio manager at Brevan Howard Asset Management LLP, where she was responsible for leading the Emerging Markets Strategies Fund. Geraldine also held positions at Moore Capital and Citigroup. Earlier in her career, she held senior research roles with Citigroup Global Investments and Pareto Partners. She studied for two degrees at Université Paris Dauphine, in Applied Economics and Banking Finance Insurance. But knowing she wanted to work in finance and to be at the heart of one of the world’s major financial hubs, Geraldine applied to study at Birkbeck, where she graduated with an MSc in Finance in 1998. She is a prominent figure in the hedge fund industry and in 2010 she received The 100 Women in Hedge Funds European Industry Leadership Award.
