James Middleton

(Elected 2018)

James Middleton is a Director of Ede & Ravenscroft, London's oldest tailor and robe maker. Sitting on the main UK Board, he is responsible for all academic, photographic and ceremonial operations in the UK and overseas. James also manages the majority of Ede & Ravenscroft's charitable activities. The company is a long-standing supporter of Birkbeck, with Sir Francis Ravenscroft having served as Governor for 50 years during the 1800s. James has ensured that the close relationship between our two organisations has continued; today, Ede & Ravenscroft supports a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to find out more about Birkbeck's rich history. It has also provided support for an archivist, for PhD students and for prizes to recognise students' academic achievements. James's Fellowship recognises Ede & Ravenscroft's long-standing commitment to Birkbeck.
